Stumptown Historical Museum

Cute little museum inside the train station! Lots of information in a small area! The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Nice free activity if you’re visiting the Whitefish area.

The farm house is a great cafe, excellent food and coffee. Also the waitresses Abby and Britiny are the best.

Sunti World Art Gallery

Amazing gallery. Super-realistic sculptures and outstanding art/paintings of many artists. Elegant. Comfortable. The quiet downstairs espresso with deli light snacks is a great place to talk in an upbeat location.

The Dave Olseth Memorial Skatepark

The park has a great flow to it and warrants skaters of all ages. Ledges, halfpipe, good street course and a bowl that even The Hawk would be envious of.

The Montana Scene

Whitefish MT is a great little town that caters to all kinds of visitors, primarily a ski village during the winter. There is an array of activities during the Summer. Big Mountain overlooks Whitefish, Whitefish Lake and you can see all the way to Kalispell. You can ski it through the Winter, mountain bike it all Summer. There are traditional ski lifts and gondolas. There is a low key cafe/bar at the summit. There is a mountain slide between one Lodge area to a lower Lodge…. (Very fun and kids love it) Glacier Natl Park is just a short drive away. My favorite trip to the park we took a “Red Bus” tour that was fun and really informative. They’re a fleet of 1930’s roll back roof buses that have been restored low emission vehicles. They were originally made for a visit of FDR. Driving to the pass “Rode to the Sun” gives you views of amazing vistas, glaciers and last time I saw a young black bear up close.

Kay Beller Park

Kay Beller Park

A beautiful park to memorialize a beautiful woman. Kay Beller was the city clerk and treasurer of Whitefish for many years. She was an avid bowler (hence the pins on the sign) and a cheerful, smart civil servant who garnered the respect of all who knew her. She was also an amazing grandmother. I miss her often, but am blessed to walk in her park and remember when a sweet woman served a town she loved very much.
